Locking eyes with a perched crow is a transference of bird’s-eye-view,
the binocular reconciling of separate frames in one image,
side windows for each wing flying silhouette against racing cloud
at the stoop of sky, old bridge straddles peripheral shores
for winged traveler’s 4-claw swagger padding steel
tail-feather tilt and head cocked lording the view in oversight
pivoting the vista — stealing it — while the bridge’s senior bones
hold still, so long in one shape, the view rapidly changing
